so far i’ve had a great summer break.  i thought i’d jot down a list of a few of the highlights so far: napping (at the top of the list for obvious reasons) petting stingrays at the zoo! playing “basketball” (soccer) with a volleyball with ella playing “bat and ball” with ella in the back yard going up to the playground where the fire department set up this totally ghetto water fountain for kids to play in–awesome! taking pictures of the flowers at the botanical gardens correctly measuring a piece of trim to go at the bottom of our foyer steps and having my dad install it!  woo-hoo!  you have NO IDEA how happy this piece of trim makes me : ) play dates at the park winning a water balloon semi-final going for hikes/runs/walks reading to ella and going to the library sitting on the patio with a book and a glass of wine/water/tea watching my flowers grow obsessing about house projects hanging with the family watching the fireflies at night not grading papers or planning posting on my blog
